Text Messages Will Keep Parents Informed
Our school has set up a Twitter account. We will use this as a communication tool to deliver important brief reminders and alerts. We hope that every parent will sign up to follow our tweets via text messaging. Each time we post a message, you will automatically receive the memo on your cell phone as a text message. You should NOT need to create a Twitter account or visit their website. All the information will arrive to you as a text message.
To sign up, just text the following message from your phone:

Be sure to capitalize the first letter of each word and do NOT include spaces in the school name. That's all there is to it!
It has been such a pleasure working with your children again this year. Plain City truly has the best students you could find anywhere, and it is an honor to work with them.
It’s hard to believe, but it’s that time of year when we begin preparing for the next school year by making staff and class assignments. Please know that students are placed in classes each year to enable them to become lifelong learners. All children have unique personalities, learning styles, behaviors, strengths, and weaknesses. We look at all these characteristics to create the most positive and productive home-room learning environment for each student. However, in most grades, the students will have experiences with all of the grade-specific teachers. Our teachers work diligently in preparing class lists which they feel would be most conducive to each individual student. This process is very complex as we endeavor to balance each of the groups.
Student placement is based upon creating learning environments. Grouping them on any other basis would defeat this purpose. For this reason, I do not accept teacher requests. However, if your student has a unique circumstance or need that would affect his or her learning and you would like us to take that into consideration, please follow all of the below steps:
